Chennai sources have stated that around 8.98 lakh students across Tamil Nadu and Puducherry have written the Language 1 examination as a part of the Class XII State Board public examinations on Thursday. In addition to Tamil, students attempted 9 other language papers Hindi, Sanskrit, French, German, Arabic, Urdu, Kannada, Telugu and Malayalam.



Sources have added that students who attempted the Tamil, Hindi and Sanskrit exams in Chennai have said the papers were easy. “The majority of questions were on expected lines,” said V. Kanmani, a student who wrote the exam at Lady Sivaswamy School.

It was stated that many students who came out of Seva Sangam Girls Higher Secondary School in Tiruchi after the exam said they did not find it very difficult. Meanwhile at the OCPM Girls Higher Secondary School in Madurai, the students said they were expecting the Language 2 paper to be easy as well. Students in the western districts too were happy with their performance.



As per report from sources School Education Minister K.A. Sengottaiyan had inspected the examination centre at the Presidency Girls Higher Secondary School, Egmore and had said that there is an increase of more than 60,000 students from schools, who are writing the Plus Two exams this year.
